It’s been a crazy, wet winter but spring is just around the corner.
It’s also been a year since I’ve done one of these posts but blossom time is one of my favorite times of the year. I always feel like I have too many photos of the same types of flowers but I could spend hours photographing these beauties if I wanted to.
A very wet, rainy winter for the Sacramento Valley means A LOT of extra water and flooding. So much so a few weeks ago I took a trip to the Glory Hole at Lake Berryessa to see what all the excitement was over this spillway. A rare occurrence, it was quite the tourist attraction and mesmerizing to watch even on a dreary, drizzly day. Extra rain and water also meant that the local creek turned into a river submerging many tree trunks underwater.
I know a lot of people dislike the rain but I’ve always found it a source of joy because it means that there will be cool clouds both before and after the storm. Sometimes, pure sun is just too harsh.
Happy Spring Equinox!
