So you've probably noticed that things look a little different around here...
No, you're not going crazy. I made some updates on this little blog because it a) deserves it and b) was not satisfying the designer in me.
So what's new? The same content is all here just rearranged a little. This template includes a banner where I've placed other food photographs I've taken for each different section on the menu bar. I decided to add a sidebar to the right of each page because the last template I had squished all of this important information to the bottom of the blog. You'd only really notice it if you scrolled all the way to the bottom.
Note: If you are reading this on your phone, the sidebar is still at the bottom because of the nature of mobile wireframes.
Here's the rundown:
I'm eternally grateful for the ease of changing templates on Squarespace. If I had to code this myself, there would be a lot of hair-pulling and no blog posts for an age. This one will stick around for a while.
Some other news...I finally photographed the ceramic food props I painted when I was in Hawaii. And here they are!
I didn't intend for them to be matching but I just love how these colors ended up working together. Underglaze ceramic painting can be a little tricky because what you paint is not what it's going to look like when it's fired. I have to recall from memory what each color looks like glazed but you really can't go wrong with analogous blue/green colors.
Here's what we have...Bottom left: square bowl // Top: spoon holder // Bottom right: hotplate
They're not just for decoration but double as food props and real life usage.
Double yes for new things.
